. . . Creeps in this petty pace from day to day . . . or so sayeth the Bard.I am at work, on very little sleep (crazy, anxiety dreams all night), trying to tidy up my desk and delegate out last-minute projects. People have been enormously supportive. We have several layers of dog-walking volunteers, ready to go; Millard has his Blackberry mapped into my Yahoo mail so that he can forward messages to friends and family; my bags are packed; bills are paid and taxes are all finished.
Now, we wait. I just ate the last solid food I will have (grilled chicken and green beans). Tonight will be soup, and then nothing solid after midnight. I am permitted two cups of black coffee before 9 a.m. (hallelujah!!!) and that is all. I check into the hospital at 11:30; surgery at 1:30 p.m.
Unless I am subject to a last-minute cancellation/rescheduling, this will be the last blog entry until I am able to do my post-op report.
Thank you, thank you everyone who has wished me well, put me on their prayer lists, and have offered support. There are tons of you, and I am totally humbled by your goodness.
Now let's get this party started.
