So, here we go. A brave new year, with a new direction in government, a new set of knees for me, new careers for Jess & Dom, and all the good things that life throws at us. I'm ready.

We spent a quiet, fun time last night with Dick and Julie, and managed to MISS midnight, we were totally engrossed in back episodes of My Name is Earl. Yeah, I know, not very highbrow. We slept late and spent the day playing with dogs, making chili, and taking down decorations. It's been a lazy, wonderful way to start the new year.

I did my PT stretches this morning and have been working on going up and down the steps, forward and backwards. Later this evening I will do my dreaded wall squats and dynaband exercises. Tomorrow is the gym for weight work, Saturday will be pool work.

Tomorrow is also my last PT session until after the surgery. I will miss these guys, but I am ready--more than ready--to go it alone.

I expect these last 26 days to go quickly. We leave for Orlando on the 8th and return on the 12th. My first consult with the surgeon is the 7th; post-op physical and labs, followed by the group training session, is the 13th. And my leg waxing is the 25th--you don't expect me to deal with hairy legs for a few weeks post-op, do you?

Happy new year to all, with love and prayers from a very grateful Fluffy.
