TODAY I AM NOT IN PAIN!!!! At some point in time yesterday my body turned the corner and the physical therapy exercises started to work. By "started to work," I mean that I did not feel worse after finishing them. I am even feeling a little stronger today than yesterday. I have a huge amount of energy and I'm getting a ton of work done this morning--my staff are in shock, to be perfectly honest. They have never seen this version of me, since I arrived at this job 6 months ago already in pain.
The secret is that I simply cannot do more than my PT assigns to me. Even if I feel good when doing extra things, the injury shows up later. I have to be patient, build up very slowly, and be stronger than I am now, but not as strong as I want to be, when I have the surgery in January.
Which, by the way, happens in 77 days.
