What a difference one shot of Synvisc makes!!! I am walking so much better, and my knee pain has gone from an 8 to a 3. I have two more sets of these to go. Unfortunately, I will not be able to have any more of these injections before the surgery in January. The last set wore off in less than 4 months, but the substance is not approved for injection more than every 6 months.As before, the left knee is responding much better than the right. The left knee is pretty much pain free (it still slips a lot, though) while the right one is somewhat painful. This difference is probably attributable to the different wear patterns; my deterioration is not the same in both knees. But still . . . even "mildly better" is better than nowhere!
